Apart from being an actor he was one of the most famous persons on Television for his Humorous Poetries. He had a good sense of comedy and his way of presenting Satire was very famous in the mid 70's and 80's.

His was a famous Stand-up comedian as well and took part in numerous Kavya Sammelans.

Ashok Chakradhar is another famous name in Hindi Poetry and He has a good comic sense too. There are many Hasya Kavitaye of Ashok Chakradhar. He takes part in many "kavya sammelans" *poetry competitions.
